4 Family Friendly Vacation Spots In Manila
We always go to Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand for our short vacation trip. This trip to Manila has changed our perception about Manila totally. We really enjoy this trip.
What’s more, we get really good deal from Philippine Airline. 2 Adult tickets will get 1 child ticket for free. Do check out Philippine Airline promotion before you decided to go there for holiday.
Philippine Airline is a full fledged airline, but you can only enjoy entertainment during the flight if you download PAL Apps on your smart phone/tablet or laptop. What is most exciting about it is not only you can watch movie, listen to radio..but you can also download some of your favorite magazine such as Cosmopolitan, Forbes, etc.
Here is a list I come up with during our trip to Manila along with places that Kids will love:
1. DreamPlay - City of Dream Manila
It is very fun place for kids to see their animation character through movies, play, even create animation by themselves.
But Sasha favorite is Gingy Kitchen where she can make Ginger bread and decorate it by herself.
We went on weekday so the ticket price is slightly cheaper - 680 peso or about SGD 19 or USD14 for whole day.
The great thing about this place is, it open till 9 pm. So we can go out, take free shuttle bus to the mall nearby, Mall of Asia. It is really big mall and so many foods to choose from.
Surrounded City of Dreams (Integrated resort and Casino) there are few high end hotel such as Nobu hotel and Hyatt hotel.
Not only for child, adult also enjoyed the place. I love the Dreamwork's theater where we can watch few short movies. My husband love the adventure part. And what amused all of us is where we can sit down and create the animation movie by our self.
2. Kidzania Manila and Mind Museum
Kidzania is really amazing places for all kids. If you have never bring your kids to Kidzania, this is a must place to go.
Mind museum is also a recommended place to go for kids. They are located at the same area with Kidzania.
One thing to note though, the traffic in Manila is really unpredictable and most of the time you will stuck on the road, so you should only plan to go one place one day to save your time.
3. Market Market – Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
It is located across Bonifacio High Street. This is much more authentic Filipino Mall. This is a place where locals come to shop. There are so much cheap things to shop for. We really enjoy the shopping although its quite boring for Sasha.
We shop so much clothes, birthday party stuff, etc. The interesting part is half of the Mall is outdoor market and you can enjoy your dinner outdoor. Across the street you can walk to the Bonifacio High Street which is really beautiful street.
4. Venice Piazza – Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
Inspired by the grandeur of the Piazza San Marco, the Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill is the perfect place to go for a quiet family weekend with its eclectic mix of Italian, Mediterranean and international dining establishments and a great variety of entertainment and leisure options.
If you want to save money, head to their food court, there are plenty of International food to choose from and the price is very reasonable.
It is a place where one can ride in an authentic gondola while taking in the unique sights of reconstructed Venetian landmarks and enjoying the music of singing gondoliers.
Unfortunately shortly after we arrive it was raining, so we didn’t had a chance to take a ride in a gondola although we manage to savor our ice cream next to it. It a great place to relax and unwind.
And look who we met on our hotel's breakfast table? What a wonderful surprise!
